Back in 2010, I had a major wake-up call. Despite working hard, my family was living paycheck to paycheck, caught in a cycle of earning and spending without building any real security. It felt frustrating and unsustainable, and I avoided my bank account like the plague. 
 

Clearly, something had to change.

So, I got serious. I stopped avoiding our numbers and started tracking everything. I built a system to understand what was coming in, what was going out, and what we could do with what was left. We weren’t just reacting anymore. We were making intentional, proactive choices. And the system worked because it wasn’t based on boring, lifeless spreadsheets. It was tailored to our unique needs and dreams! 

Within three short years, our financial situation was completely transformed. 

We had a cushion in our bank accounts and a sizable emergency fund. We were also making regular contributions to retirement and college savings, and even had money left over to invest in real estate. The shift wasn’t just in our numbers—it was in our sense of peace and confidence. Finally, money wasn’t a mystery or a scary thing to be avoided. It felt fun!

What matters most is that I bring a mix of real-world experience, strategic thinking, and compassionate coaching to the table—explaining money in a way that actually makes sense to you and what you’re trying to achieve in life.

I moved from the Netherlands to the Caribbean when I was 16—almost 5,000 miles away—not knowing anyone and barely speaking the language. 

I later landed an internship in NYC, and somehow… It all led me here.

I have four beautiful children—two girls, two boys. 

Two of my kids are studying abroad. Clearly, they caught my travel bug.

I love chocolate in a “can’t-imagine-life-without-it” kind of way. 

My best friend would say I’m funny, flexible, and totally non-judgmental.

My husband says I’m a great listener, which might be why even strangers feel comfortable sharing their deepest secrets with me!
